No assignment over the week-end.
We’ve nearly completed the presentations for Dia de los Muertos; we will complete them on Tuesday. No assignment for the next class.
Assignment on Thursday is from the text. Students need to go on-line and access Ch 2B/ p. 132 Act. 21. These are to be written answers. On p. 134, act. 25. Write 5 sentences, following the modelo.
Eighth grade students will not have an assignment until Thursday due to the dress rehearsal for the play tomorrow.
Eighth grade will not have an assignment until Thursday as tomorrow is the dress rehearsal for the play during class time.
Your seventh grade students did a great job on building the ofrenda for our day of the dead. They also wrote a letter to the person whose life they are remembering. On Wednesday, each student will present their relative/friend to the class. I am impressed with their reverence and respect.
Parents, thanks for all your help over the week-end. For the few who did not do the assignment, they may turn it in tomorrow.
The sixth grade students cut out some flash cards this week for the chapter we are studying. This is a very important component of this language program. At times, their assignment will be to practice their cards with an adult. I will also tell them they are to have the signature of that adult indicating they have practiced with you. You may sign the envelope - the students earn points, so it’s worth the time.
Due to the dress rehearsal of the play for the entire school next Wednesday, the sixth grade class will only meet on Thursday.
Seventh grade students brought a letter home - on pink paper - explaining the Dia de los Muertos or the Day of the Dead activity we are starting on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Please read the letter and help your student find an appropriate picture and discuss the history of this individual. We need to complete the altar on Tuesday so it is very important that your child brings everything he/she needs. Thank you for your help.
