St. Raphael's School is
happy to boast one of the only theater programs in the
area! This lively and fun group offers a comprehensive
extra curricular Theater Arts program. We are members
of The International Junior Thespian Society, an
organization that recognizes the accomplishments of
theater students and promotes the arts in schools all
over the world. Since 1996, fifth through eighth grade
students have had the opportunity to participate in
theater workshops and be involved in numerous musicals,
plays and Christmas pageants. Each production involves
specialized instruction in audition preparation,
acting, music, dance, and stage crew.
Our students leave St. Raphael with the skills and confidence to participate successfully at a high school level. Under the direction of Deacon Bowen and his wife Donna, many families, teachers, staff, and alumni volunteers donate their time to make this an educational and fun experience. Practice for the yearly fall theater production is on the weekends beginning mid-September and ends early November with 4 nightly (sold-out!) performances.
For more information contact Deacon Bruce Bowen at 763-537-8401 ext. #222 or Donna Bowen
