Spanish Update - Oct 6 Grades Pre K-4
Pre K- Our 2nd class will be this week. We are working on Spanish greetings.
K-We are continuing to work on greetings and the colors.
Grade 1 - They are learning a song called “Gracias” in addition to reviewing the colors, some object words and the numbers numbers 1 to 10. We are also using short sentences such as: “Es el azul? , Es el lapiz?, No, no es rojo., Si, es negro. etc.
Grade 2 - Besides reviewing, the students colored a blocked picture page with Spanish words that we will later cut out and use to practice our new words. We also practicedh short sentences using those words and others we have learned.
Grade 3 -The students made their Spanish spiral notebooks and pasted in all the Lessons. They are now learning to read and write Spanish words and sentences . We practiced the words for Unit 1-3. This week they will be tested on them.
Grade 4- We have been reviewing all the words learned orally during the last years by reading them from the word lists. In grades K-2 , most of the lessons were oral exercises. Now the students are learning both by oral exercises as well as written.
We had the first test on Lesson 1-3 last week. This week we will have another test on Lesson 3-4. (All of these lessons are reviews from last year. The students are becoming more proficient with the words. It is very important that parents practice with their children because they we need this foundation in order to move on with the next lessons. Thank you for your help!
