Our theme this week is Clifford. In religion we are reviewing. Our spelling words are all things you can do in the summer: read, beach, swim, bike, hike and camp. The bonus word is Clifford. In reading we are doing some things with alphabetizing and reading for meaning. In math we have finished our math for the year so we are reviewing. We will also play a little Bingo. We are writing thank you notes. We will also write about our field trip. In art we will make Clifford. In health we will talk about our muscles. Have a good week.

Our theme this week is ladybugs. In religion we are talking about being a child of God and what responsibilities we have. In reading we are still working with Ira Sleeps Over.  Our spelling words are: had, way, say, day, May and play.  Our bonus word is ladybug.  We are starting a health unit and we will be talking about our bones, our circulatory system and our respiratory system. On Tuesday we will enjoy the Spring program of the third and fourth graders.  Have a good week!

Our theme this week is frogs.  In religion we are talking about the beginning of the church and the first Christians. We will be reading the trade book Ira Sleeps Over. Our spelling words are one, two, three, four, five and six and the bonus word is toad. We will write a frog story and we will write a short letter to Sarah.  Thursday the students can be out of uniform if they bring in one dollar for Feed My Staving Children.  Watch for a field trip note coming home this week.  Have a good week everyone.

Our theme this week is rainbows and butterflies.  In religion we will continue to talk about the sacraments.  In reading we are reading Frog and Toad Are Friends with a partner. Our spelling words are all review words.  The children came home with a list on Monday.  The bonus word is rainbow. We will have our test on Thursday because there is no school on Friday.  The Art Festival is Tuesday from 6:00 until 7:30.  I hope to see you there. The children will have some things on display.  Remember you can eat at Arby’s before the Art Festival.  Have a good week.

This week’s theme is dinosaurs again. There is a lot to do with dinosaurs and the kids like talking about them. In religion we are talking about the seven sacraments and I reminded them that they are receiving two sacraments next year. Our spelling words are: going, cow, little, school, mother and happy. Our bonus word is fossil. We will be making May baskets on Thursday and a dinosaur diorama on Friday. Wednesday, of course, is our field trip. Have a great week everyone!

The theme this week is alligators and crocodiles. In religion we are continuing to talk about the Mass.  Our story in reading is “The Desert”. Our spelling words are: day, away, made, make, but and jump. The bonus word is alligator. We will write an alligator story and make a couple of alligators.  In math we will talk about cones and spheres. We will have Art Adventure in the month of April.  Friday night is the big Wine and Beer Tasting Event.  I hope to see you there.

Our theme this week is elephants.   In religion we are talking about the Apostles Creed and the Mass.  Our story this week is “Baby Rattlesnake”.  Our spelling words are: went, with, will, no, snow(How appropriate!), saw and the bonus word is elephant.  We will write a poem about an elephant and do an art project with an elephant. We had practice for the Spring Program this morning and tomorrow we will have the dress rehearsal. I will see you at the program tomorrow night.  Thursday is green and white day. Remember to send in your things for the basket for the Wine and Beer Tasting Event. Have a good week!

The theme this week is clowns. In religion we are talking about Easter. Our story this week is “Mama’s Birthday Present”. Our spelling words are all review words. A list came home on Monday. The bonus word is clown. We will have fun making clowns this week. We will also be practicing for our Mass for this Friday. Remember you are invited to come to our classroom after the 8:15 Mass. There will be juice and cookies. Maria’s mom is helping to organize our basket for the silent auction at the Beer and Wine Tasting Event. Watch for a note coming home. Have a good week everyone.

Our theme this week is rabbits. In religion we are talking about Holy Week. We will finished our station booklet and talk about the apostles. Our story this week is “Who Will Bell the Cat?” Our spelling words are: no, so, put, see, eat and yes. Our bonus word is rabbit. In math we will talk about nickels. We will do a poem about a bunny and make a rabbit. It will have to be a brown rabbit because I couldn’t find white bags. All week we will be saying good-bye to Sarah. We will miss her. Everyone have a Blessed Easter and a safe week off.
