Rockford Road Library is hosting an art show for grades 6-12. I gave grades 6-8 the opportunity to participate with their art work from previous classes. Five 6th and 7th graders brought work in. It will be displayed in October and they will receive some type of art medium prize. Thank you for participating!
As you can see grades are now posted in each grade including behavior. Last week I gave the breakdown for behavior points.
The project points for grades 6-8 are: A+ 20, A 19, A- 18.5 ,
B+ 18, B 17.5, B- 17, C+ 16, C 15, C- 14, D+ 13, D 12, D- 11, F 10.
Grades K-5 receive, U, S and O as grades for other Specials.
Grading for grades 6-8 will be weighted in Art this year.
Behavior= 10%
Tests= 25%
Class Projects 65%
The behavior points reflect how many warnings they receive. Perfect beh. = 10 pts.
One warning = 7.5 pts (C). Two warnings= 7 pts. (C-) If I punch their card= 5 pts. (F)
In regards to tests, they will always be given a study guide. Please encourage them to study. It is 25% of the grade.
As far as the other grades, if your child gets a C or U, that means he/she is getting 1-3 warnings. I give those if they’re talking while I’m presenting the lesson and not settling down to do their work.

Getting our Thanksgiving and Christmas projects completed in time has been difficult. Sadly, the information on Egyptian art was brief in November and will be brief for Greek art in December. The project needs to be a priority, but I’ll hit the highlights.
