Spelling: Lesson 8 Standard group does p. 32-34. Challenge group does p.35 plus the challenge activities. Challenge words are dial, seventy, high school, shelves, widow, library, judgement, separate, cemetery, exceed Work due on Wednesday. Test on Thursday.
Math: M-L 38 T-L39 W-L40 Th-Test, worksheet for homework
Religion: The chapter 5 test will be a take-home test. It will be sent home later this week. It is due next Thursday, Nov. 6
Spanish: Fourth grade Spanish test on Tues, Oct 28. There will be sentences using the words in Lesson 5. Students are expected to know the words in Lesson 1-4 also. In case your child received a low mark on previous test, it would be good to review again. A 5 point bonus if you write a note indicating that you reviewed Lesson 5 with your child.
Book Sale: Used book sale this Wednesday. Books are 25 cents on Wednesday, 10 cents on Thursday.
End of the Quarter: The end of the first quarter is this Thursday, October 30. Reports card will be sent home next week.
Party: We’ll have a short holiday party on Thursday. Let me know if you’d like to send a treat. An email will be coming with more info.

All students have been assigned a state from the Southeast to report on. They are doing research in school. In addition, they must make a poster of the state they were assigned. Here are the requirements.

Spanish: Spanish test on lesson 4 and 5 on Tuesday. Students who bring a signed paper indicating that a parent reviewed with them will get extra points on their test.
Religion: The chapter 3 test is a take-home test. Students may use their books and have parent assistance. Essay questions must be answered in complete sentences. The test is due on Wednesday, Oct. 8
