I’m going to the Twins home opener tonight.  Sure is good we don’t have an outdoor stadium yet.

Spelling:  Lesson 25  Standard group does p. 100-102  Challenge group does p. 103 (not part I)  Challenge words: vocabulary, deepest, detail, potato, measles, resposibility, sandwich, sentences, temperature, chocolate.

Math: M - Supplemental L 90  T - L 90  W - Test and worksheet for homework  Th - Inv 9 and worksheet for homework  F - L91

Reading: The March reading record is due tomorrow.  April ones will be sent home today.

AR:  New goals will be set for the fourth quarter.  I will again send home sheets to get your input on goals.  These should be signed and returned to school.  You could also email me if you’d like.

Science:  We will be beginning a health unit this week.   Watch for more details coming soon.

Social Studies:  Midwest state project coming soon.

4th Grade Basket:  Movie theme. Please send any donations in ASAP.  Sara would like them by April 4th, preferably, or April 11 by the latest.  Thank you.

We are collecting items or cash for our 4th grade basket for the Wine and Beer tasting.  Items can be sent to school or given to Sara Thurston.  See the attached flyer or contact Sara for more information.

Spelling: L24 Review  All students do pages 96-99 (all four).  Workbook due Wednesday.  Test on Thursday.

Math: M - L87  T - L88  W - L89  Th - none

Reading:  Continue to record at-home reading.    March records are due after vacation on Tuesday, April 1.

AR:  We will set new AR goals for the third quarter after vacation.

Spelling: Lesson 23 Standard group does p. 92-94. Challenge group does p. 95 (including part I) and the challenge activities. Challenge words are: crackers, theme, greeting, eleventh, spoken, opposite, paragraph, patience, quotient, recognize. Work is due on Wednesday. Test in on Thursday.

Math: M - L84 T - L85 W - Test day. Worksheet for homework. Th - L86 F - worksheet

Science: Test on matter this Wednesday, March 12. See separate post for the study guide.

The stations of the cross booklet that the students are making is due this Friday, March 14.  They have been working on them last week and will have time this week in school.  If they are not finished they may have to complete work at home.

Social Studies: Test on Midwest States and Capitals on Friday, March 14. See separate post for study guide.

Reading: Read at home and record on your March reading record.

Green and White Day: Thursday, March 13.

Friday: Mass at 8:15 and Stations of the Cross at 1:15

Quarter 3: Third quarter ends on Thursday, March 20.

Math: M - Inv. 8, worksheet T - L81 W - L82 Th - 83 F - 84

Reading: The February reading record was due today. I will take it tomorrow without penalty. After that points will be deducted. We are finishing our biographies this week. We’ll begin reading Little House of the Praire next week to go along with studying the Midwest region in social studies.

Science: The test on matter will be next Wednesday, March 12.

Social Studies: The Midwest states and capitals test will be next Friday, March 14.

Conferences: I am looking forward to meeting with you during conferences. I’ll send out an updated schedule today.
