Accelerated Reader

October 15th, 2007

Students should read books at their appropriate reading level to continue to grow in their reading ability. 30 minutes a day is set aside at school most days for accelerated reader (AR). I encourage students to read books at home for AR also. In order to check if a book is appropriate, you can go to the AR website and type the title or author in to find the book’s level. October 15th, 2007

I am looking forward to conferences this week. Because of the short week there will be no spelling lesson. Here’s the homework:

Reading: 20 minutes per day, record on October reading record. We are reading Charlotte’s Web in class.

Spelling: None

Math: M - L26, T - Test Day, Worksheet for homework W - no homework

Science: Chapter 1 test Wednesday, no additional homework

Religion: Chapter 3 take-home test due Wednesday

Social Studies: begin to study Southeast states and capitals, study aid will be sent home

Language: we are typing a fractured fairy tale on google apps. Some students may have to type from home to finish. Google apps can be accessed online from the school website.

Picture Day: Wednesday is picture day. Please send in envelope with your order and payment.

MEA: No school on Thursday or Friday. Enjoy the long weekend!
